MIX NOTES
- Played around by creating a combination of 5 duplicated VOX tracks with different compressors, including the original track, and routing them to a VOX group
- Used varying pre-amp, compression, EQ, and stereo widening on group channels made up of DRUMS+BASS, KEYS, PADS, VOX
- EQ Piano and Vibes for separation better separation between the tracks
- Dynamic EQ sidechained between groups for more separation
- On Piano used additional preamp to boost volume, compression, and L/R EQ for left (low pitch notes) and right (high pitch notes)
- Boosted low-shelf on Bass and then compressed, high filtered, and cut a bit of low mids
- Dynamically ducked low-shelf on Bass with kick from Drums
- Automated volume for different sections like boosting Piano during its main section
- Cut the last part of the String section for the finale when the Vox track holds the sustained note
- Used different Ambiance, Plate, and Hall reverb fx for each group
