After listening back on a few different systems i realised a few issues
1. shaker was too loud
2. kick drum was unsatisfactory and there was a muddiness in the drums from the ringing of the toms
3. the lower vocals were too loud

i also tweaked a few other things and added a little saturation to bring the mix to life a little more
