Sup guys!!!
I do like this band. their songwriting and production are very good, always a pleasure to mix these guys.
This one is a bit simpler, straight up Drums, Bass, Guitars and Vocals, no BS and pure Rock music.
The recording was AWESOME!! Guitar and bass tone were a breeze to mix.
Drums were a bit tricky because of some ringy frequencies in all of the spectrum, BUT, gating was easily done when using the samples provided as sidechain input. not a fan of mono room tracks, but this one worked just fine , i think. the rest is just goo'old compression.
The biggest problem in this mix for me is in the chorus. the vocals dominate the part, and the snare high-end just desapears, even if i use an pumping compressor on the vocals with the snare as sidechain input.
Anyhow, hope y'all enjoy, brazilian cheers
