Hi stratoalgia,
i think that the mix is a little muddy.
Too much kick (low end specially)
If you cut 2/3db with a low shelf at ~200, scoop a little around  350-500 and if you add some high mids/highs, i think it would sound much better.
By the way,  the reverse cymbals almost rip my head off... just saying
