Umphreys McGee 'Crucial Taunt' (EquilibriumMIX)
#1
I preferred to make this mix longer than it was. However, I'm not sure if it was worth adding part of the verse at the end. Write your opinion. I couldn't come up with what could be done with the terrible sound of the bass: Bubububu ...
At the last moment it seemed that drums sound louder than necessary. Maybe this is a deceptive sensation?
Comments are welcome.
V2 - I improved the sound of the bass, added a 30 Hz filter on KK
V3, updated by Kick. Now it sounds closer, tough, the emphasis above, the settings of the LF and Sustain filters are changed.

I don't think your editing choices add anything to the song.
Mixing is way more art and soul than science. ~ E.K.

hi Equilibrium, I love your edits! I think the drums are a little dark. and maybe cut a little 400hz in the guitars. overall, I love your mix!

Thanks for the review. It is possible that I was mistaken in some aspects, since I did not use a reference. In the future, of course, I will try to avoid such misses. However, I created a common sound with an emphasis on the mid -frequency range deliberately. It seemed to me that the song sounds more convincing with such a sound. For the same reason, I left drums with a higher volume level. I needed to create emotional pressure, at least even to the detriment of some rules. But it seems that I was again a little mistaken with Kick, which lacks lower frequencies. At the moment, I have a problem with monitoring, I need to install acoustic shields for adequate perception of sound.

Thanks again for the review.
