Kat Wright - By My Side

Very nice performance.
Felt like the brass section could use o bit of time adjustments at some point, but they are not a much of a problem after all

Cheers

Hola filipandrei,
i think this is a solid and really stable mix.
Your decision to spread out the brass section over the stereo field makes sense. Maybe this is where the timing starts to get more relevant.
I like the bass sound in your mix. The vocal sits nicely on top of that.
Maybe the vocal could be a tad bit more in front of the snare (give it or tune up some parallel compression)?

Hey novalix,
Thanks a lot for listening and for your feedback.
You might have a point about the brass section.
There is already a parallel compression on the vocal (it's actually part of my mix template), and use it all the time, but there is so much spill of the band in the mic, so I had to come to a compromise when it comes to the vocal, but you're right here too Smile

Cheers
