Hello! Thank you for mixing this track
I really appreciate it!
There's a couple of weird things going on though, and I think it bears mentioning. First off, the glitching is absolutely intentional! It's a musical choice and compositionally important for transitions!
Some observations I get on first listen:
-I like the reverb and upfrontness of the vocals.
-It sounds blanketed over 10k.
-I love the fx on the bridge part. The strings sound pretty and the verbs are funky in a good way!
-The drums are really up front and loud relative to everything else.
-You didn't really blend my vocals with mike's vocals on the choruses. The final chorus we're supposed to share the spotlight!
If I were to change this at all, I'd suggest bringing up some of that guitar a decent amount and re-balancing the vocals. This mix feels kind of smushy and fluffy at the same time, if that makes sense. I like the kick but everything else seems floaty and disconnected. This mix really does require a tightness and cohesion to make it pop.
Thank you for doing a mix of it though!
Sincerely,
Phil
