J P Lantieri - Chardonnay (Ken Alex Mix).mp3
#1
MIX NOTES
  • +2db at 5khz on the Kick for a little more click; +3db boost at 50hz, steep highpass at 27hz for rumble, -2db at 133hz
  • +2db at 100hz for Bass, -2db at 75hz to separate from kick more, +6db at 800hz for some mid presence
  • Multiband compression and multiband saturation on Percussion tracks for a kind of tightness and vividness (overall maybe could have made them quieter)
  • Tried tempo-based compression again, 1/16th note for drums for the bounce and most other instruments, other elements 1/4th for leveling and push back
  • SFX2 (I call the Lawnmower track) has no processing, just brought down 2.5db overall, but also clipped and reduced in gain the sections that had the loud "chirp" sound
  • Some highpass filtering for some elements to clean up as much as possible
  • Struggled with Synth04 regarding EQ, compression, saturation, send delay and reverb; tough to balance; also narrowed it in stereo field
  • Vox, Synth01 and Synth03 I reduced Mid and increased Side to not clutter up the middle
