Leslie Mendelson – Hardest Part

This was surprisingly tricky recording to mix. A lot of things can go on with bleed between four mics. I tried to retain the warm and full sound of the recording, while improving the sense of space and clarity. A key realization was that I barely needed the guitar mics. I just included them to add a bit of fullness.
I was going for a Milk Carton Kids kind of sound, but it seems to have ended up a bit brighter than most of their songs.
