There isn't much to say.
Nice song, nice tracks.

Occationally I experienced the vocal wanted to kill me at around 500 and 900 hz. Anybody else, who've had the same experience?

Maybe I could Have chosen differently regarding the panning ... ?

Tips, trix & comments are welcommed

Hola,
that is a nice mix.
Some thoughts:
The bass line of the guitar could have a bit more weight and sustain to "carry" the voice.
A little cut of the lower mids (.ca 300HZ) of the bassdrum could make it sound a little less boxy.
As for the vocals: There is some proximity effect (i would say slight) but somtimes a nasty resonance almost like a small room reverb on the recorded material. And of course there is always some honkiness or nosiness in the lower mid range. One can notch it out (slightly) or nowadays use some dynamic eq. Seems you have done that.
