ImpAct - Island mix and master
#1
Here is my mix and master of the song.

-Very simple song to mix. Nothing but EQ, compression, gating and some multiband saturation to seal the deal.
-Mastering was EQ, limiting, and stereo spacing and treble enhancer. I tried to add some vinyl saturation, but the plugin stopped working. Sad

Hope you enjoy!

Hi Brandon Parker,

Thank you for spending time to work on our music! It is a very different take to our mix, but it's cool! I like that you try to feature the articulation of the bass more. I think the low end can be a bit more punchy and the piano/string part is slightly louder than what we imagine it to be. Otherwise, we enjoy your take of our song. Thank you!

Thank you so much for listening to it! I would agree that the strings was way too loud and, if I did the song over again, I would keep it in the back and blend it in with the bass solo more to have more of a Coldplay sound to it. As far as the bass, I had it more of a grind to match it with the guitars, but I think I overdid it and lost some pickup sounds to it. Lessons learned. Big Grin

Thanks again for listening and I'll be sure to look out for your next EP. If it is any indication of this song, it will be another banger. Big Grin
