Hi everyone, here's my mix of Flames by The Black Crown. All feedback much appreciated.
Fairly pleased with the overall sound, but as is always the way with these things, listening back to it the day after signing it off (and listening to other peoples' on here), I thought of about 3 or 4 things I could've done differently or added to spice the song up a bit.
All mixing done in Reaper using a 50/50 mix of stock plugins and free plugins from various sources. Some real gems that I've come across:
Amplitube's free suite (the selection of IRs and cabs is excellent)
TSE BOD
Kotelnikov Bus Compressor
Audio Damage Rough Rider Compressor (used on vocals a lot)
