my take on Banana Split
#1
Good production on this song, nicely recorded!

The one thing that bothered me was the long decayed (and uneven) snare ring. I took care of it using the MeldaProduction's MFreeformPhase plugin. I shaped the signal phase to be inverted in the ringing frequencies in one of the two snare channels (as it shows in the attached image). So it is additive in the "right" frequencies and subtractive in those that bothered me. Then I adjusted the volumes to taste. Nice plugin, had never used it. Oh, "low" quality sounded better to me, the others seemed to introduce preringing artifacts - I didn't investigate it through, just used my ears to judge.

That's it, the rest is pretty much standard procedures. What are your impressions? : )
