My first ever Big Band Mix--after 20+ years
#1
Twenty years recording or mixing, and this is the first time I've ever mixed a Big Band number! Sheesh. What the hell was I waiting for anyway? I love the style of music and the era from which it hails.

Anyway, let me know if I got it about right if you have time to take a listen.

Oh, and one thing: With the exception of one of the room mics, all of the others were dead--that is to say, I could see the waves, and they were doing just fine at first, but then all sound just went away on those tracks. No, I didn't push the wrong button! No, I didn't screw anything up! I swear. This has happened to me once before. Not sure the culprit, but I had to mix this without use of the room mics. That, my friends, is why God invented convolution reverbs...

Ce las vie!
