Some nice tracks to work with here.
Mix 1 is my first impression of the song which usually defines my direction as it the most organic take.
No automation has been applied, limited effects and EQ, nothing replaced. Extensive group creation (packed folders in PreSonus) to assist with group processing. Since many of the guitars were presented as doubled tracks, they all made good stereo groups and followed the song structure making it much easier to get a good mix out of the gate. I tend to create packed folder groups for just about everything, even some mono tracks, like kick and snare. This gives me the opportunity to push into the group where I do all stereo compression and optional in-line effects. The individual channel strips usually have an EQ on them first to do any filtering pre-compression or sends, typically low pass filtering for power stealing noise.
This has not been mastered.
