I'm Alright - First Try
#1
Hi Everyone. I am a total newbee at all of this so don't expect too much here. I did this in Studio One with all native plug in's. I know very little about mixing so I am very interested in what you guys have to say about my first shot in this forum.

Any suggestions would be a big help...Thanks for listening!!

Ok I took RJ's advice and put the low pass on the bass and kick, and pumped up the drums a bit...lets see how this sits.

Hi, welcome!

I don't think it is too bad to start with Smile My suggestions:

-The drums is washed away in the background, I would put the fader up there.
-The bassguitar+kick has quite some sub-lows, I would put a high-pass filter around 40-50Hz.

First try to start to make the drums+bass+vocal to sound good, this is the basis of this song. Then add the rest.

Cheers!

RJ

Thanks for the advice RJ I will give that a try.
I did notice the drums got washed away too and the overall quality seems to disappear when I convert it to a Mp3 file.

Thanks again I appreciate it!!
