I am not sure anyone with a mix like this can be a noob Smile. I think you are too modest . Here is what I think: your snare can have a bit more body (power). Your vocal is a bit too close up and not floating on top of the mix. I'd cut a bit of the hi-mid on the guitar/snare and see if it helps. Right now your mix is a bit bright to my taste. The bottom is not warm enough to combat with the slightly abrasive hi-mid. Other than that, I think your mix is very nice, easy to listen to. Cheers!
