Some Kind of Life
#1
What a lovely song. Thanks so much for the tracks

I've tried some small automations on vocals and toms effects
Also tried to made the bass more audible on small speakers and used some distortions, but not too much

As always feedback is welcomed
Cheers

Edit (v3 R01) - 25.02.2024
- New mix from scratch, hope a better one
Let me know what you think

It feels really good. It needs something more. I say this a lot but it's a well cooked steak that needs more salt/spice. The vocal should grab more when it comes in. Right now it feels like another part as opposed to asking the listener to focus. The balances and structure all feel good. But it needs more to pull the listener in.

RoyM,

Thanks a lot for your feedback
Maybe I was too focus on making the tracks sound together, not listening to the song as a whole.
Will definitely give a shot tomorrow, with a "pair of fresh ears".

"Mix the song, not the tracks", yeap, you're right ... Wink

Made a few minor adjustments to the vocals on the chorus sections and added a tape emulation bus for percussions and organ, so to raise the chorus a bit
