Magician's Nephew - Symphony of Silence - Mix Critique
#1
Here's my mix for Symphony of Silence by Magician's Nephew. When I heard the raw tracks, the first thing I knew I wanted was lots of power and clarity from the guitars and bass (took some effort, but I think I finally got it). Additionally, I was having trouble getting the drums where I wanted them and just decided to leave them as is. Have a listen, let me know what you think.

*Just a caution. I put a limiter on the mix to bring up the volume.

Hello

I find the bass too present. I would lower it a few.
The guitars are perfectly mixed I think.
The delay/reverb on the voice during the verses is quite too much but it fits nicely with the rest. I personally put a saturation fx on the lead during the verses and reverb during the chorus.
For the drums, it feels a little bassless kick but you compensate with the bass. The snare sounds empty no ?

Good job anyway.
