Here is my mix for South Of The Water.
-Drums were more straightforward this time around. Samples on kick and snare.
-Bass was doubled, with one track DI and one reamped. The second bridge is where you can hear the bass tone on all three Actions tracks: clean, articulate and full of low end without sounding woofy.
-Guitars were a pain, with the acoustic clashing really heavily against the electrics, but managed to separate then and brighten them up.
-Vocals were a little to over the top, so I tried my best to have it sit in the mix. I'm still not 100% happy with it, but what can you do.
-Had to do a bit of master bus effects just so the mix doesn't get away from me.
Mastering was pretty simple. Brighten up the 8k, add some vinyl saturation and limiter to taste. I didn't want to hit the compressor too much, as I wanted to have more dynamics in this song than the other ones.
