Dead Enemies

"Dead Enemies": maybe or not! It's your choice. This is my first mix. I hope that as a friend you enjoy. Say it to me.

Very interesting choices, but you should pay more attention to the basics before you add all the bells and whistles. The kick is quite overdriven and sounds like a howitzer shooting in my backyard Smile I can't deny that this sounds interesting, but overall this is a poor choice for this song.

Also, your mix is not very balanced and quickly sounds washy, the more elements come into play. Sometimes I couldn't even hear the drums anymore. In most cases, less (i.e. less processing) is simply more. I would advise you to just mix with the volume knob, panning and automation and use EQ, compression and other fancy stuff sparingly. However, this song is definitely not suitable for this approach - the Burning Bridges is a good start for this.

What I would also like to recommend to you as inspiration:

I hope you find some help and inspiration in those videos and have some fun while mixing the Periphery song, too.
