I listened to your mix and four of the others side by side.
I can hear where you are trying to take the tune, and I must say the vocal treatment is spot on for a more pop version. I'm not sure that some of the other tracks are up to it though.
I haven't downloaded the multitracks for this, but comparing five mixes side by side it's obvious that the ride cymbal is one of the biggest technical problems in this one. I think you'll agree with me that you need to re-think your solution to this. The compression you have on the drum tracks in the above mix is creating some quite unmusical dynamic effects.
Good effort to try to make something new from this one, and again, I loved the vocal.
