Like You Do Mix

Here's my take of this piece. Like others have said, it wasn't the best recording session, but that made it even more valuable as a mixing training tool, I think.

Lots of outboard used here - I actually kept the intro and added some subtle effects for movement. Final mix was sent through some Carnhill transformers and then (again ) through Lundahl iron in the mixbuss compressor. The keys were soaked fairly thoroughly as well in the mixing stage.

Would love your thoughts.

I really liked the overall airy dreaminess of the vocals, including the backgrounds... I really think they suit the song perfectly. Nice work!

Thank you very much!

I am posting up a different version here - only real change is level as the first mix was slammed (as in loudness) too much and was collapsing some of what I wanted to do with the mix. This has a touch more room.
