Here is my version. I don’t know if I’m already done with it, I still
hear some things where I go .. hmmmm .. but then again, done is done.
I did re-amp the guitars using some of my own amps, cabinets and microphones.
The main sound here is a vintage Ampeg V4 amp being pushed by a simple
Boss SD-1 (the yellow one) pedal. It’s going into a custom 6x12
cabinet and one of the speakers (an eminence governor) is being miced
with a shure SM7B and an audio technica AE3000.
It’s a variation on the fredman technique where the shure is on-axis.
The Audio technica off-axis.
This sound is supported by a second reamp using an RNR SL/LD preamp
going into a mesa simulclass:90. The rest of the chain is the same as
the Ampeg.
As for the drums, I sample replaced the kick/snare and toms with some
raw unprocessed samples I have made myself from some of my own
drumkits.
