KnockOut (Unofficial remix by STMROB)
#1
KnockOut remix, good practice with low end freq. Great vocals that need to cut through the wall of mid freq.

The only track I got rid of is the «Hit» track. I decided to add my own sound effects instead, at the key moments.

Kick1 EQ with notch cut at 100 Hz, doubled with a freq. generator at 57 Hz
Kick2 has high pass at 50 Hz
Kick3 has also high pass at 50 Hz, doubled with a freq. gen. at 52 Hz

The frequency generators are there to add sub foundation to the kicks.

Snares have high pass at 100 Hz

Lead synths are also high passed quite high

Hors and brass all have an exciter at around 2 KHz, that gives a colour similar to a mellotron sound.

Bass is treated with distortion, EQ and compression to get a more crunchy sound, and the harmonics that are added help the sound pass through the kick.

Piano track is duplicated. On the first track, I kept the parts that occur only with the lead vocals. The second track holds the parts that play when the backing vocals are present. On this second track, the piano is high passed at around 160 Hz.

Sound effects added: reverse record play, reverse cymbal hit.

Some of the tracks and group channels have a stereo expander on to give more width.

Regards.
