Bitter - HB Mix
#1
Channeled my inner "Boston" on this one....something about the hook reminded me of "Peace of Mind" Cool

Hey HbG - cool mix!

Digging the drum sound - very punchy and clean with a nice transient attack, but not over the top. The low end of the mix is tight too - I like where the bass sits in relation to the kick drum and the rest of the mix overall.

There is an airy sense of space around the vocal that I'm quite partial to. It gives depth and dimension without ever clouding or obscuring the clarity of the mix.

I enjoyed the main clean hook guitar sound - you really feature it nicely. Maybe a little automation might help to just duck it under the lead vocal, as it does compete with the lead vox at times.

I like the impact the choruses have, but I'm finding the distorted guitars are a little too "hairy" sounding for my taste.

Overall, I love how "glued" and cohesive-sounding everything is - a very well put together mix!

Hi there. Do you use reverb on the drum bus or on individual buses? Thanks.
