Hi,

I've tried to work with panning and automation to keep a progression in the song and keep it exciting, not sure it worked.

The main challenge was to both keep it punchy and dynamic, I'm really not a fan of programmed drums in rock songs in general. There's a lot of the same guitar with the same tone so I had to play with EQ, effect and panning to create some width and avoid the dull wall of sound. I just used 2 DI guitars on the chorus to have a bit of noise in the background with the signal running through a Fender Deluxe Reverb (or whatever it's called on Logic) with low bass and lots of gain (it's in the background it just adds that craziness touch).

I split the vocals into every part of the song with different panning and effects, with more distortion toward the end.

That's all I can think about on top of my head.

Please let me know what you think, what you like and don't like, really eager to learn!

Thanks a lot
Quentin
