Great song and arrangement, I’m terrible with accents but I understand this is a piece of good old British songwriting? Reminds me of Bernard Butler (my personal hero) and his albums with Dave McAlmont and Duffy, with those sweet ES-335 tones.
Also I tried to create some updated Dusty Springfield ambiance for the verses (love that syncopated guitar part). Bassdrum slightly enhanced with a sample and I also added some super subtle snap fingering, but that was all. Bass and vocal a little loud too fat sounding, maybe?
I could have muted some guitars, but fell on the “you can’t hear it but it’s there and is important” trap, whatever... Have a crazy weekend everyone!
