Nice mix ! I do like that you've given the snare a good bit of space with the reverb but is way too much for my liking.

You're right about the reverb, it was too much.
I made a new mix with a little less reverb in the drums and also some changes here and there.
Reduced the gtr reverb to bring it closer to the other instruments and added more presence to the piano.

So basically you used reverb on instruments as well to create equal space?

Thank you and yes.
They don't have to be the same preset and sometimes even just a delay can be enough but they all have to work together to create that illusion of depth.

In my mix I used plate and stage presets for drums. Chamber for bass.
Spring and ER-preset for gtr. Ambience for acgtr. Slapback for piano.
Ambience and hall for voc.
