First Mix Attempt

This is my first "real" mix attempt using tracks other than my own cheesy home recordings. I'm really trying to get good and consistent at this art so all constructive criticism welcome. Thanks. PEACE!

Hey SCTLBTN,

not terrible first mix, but there is plenty of room for improvement.

Suggestions:
- WAY too much High-End. Reference other tracks and maybe check with a metering software like Voxengos "SPAN"
- Also sounds like got a bit of a smiley eq going on. Lots of Highs and Bass.
- Drum cymbals way too loud, the drums themself get lost.
- Bass a bit loud, could use more saturation.
- Vocals very scooped, pretty essey. Fx very cool but to prominent.


I hope I dont sound unfriendly but I have to keep my notes pretty short and simple because I try to review a lot of mixes

Not unfriendly at all! Love the feedback actually, thank you!! I did notice the "disco smile" myself but it was midnight and I was crazy tired. Can't wait to play with it today and use your notes as a guide. Thank you for taking the time to listen and reply!
