Hello World. This is my first mix here 
I'm a musician (songwriter) and I'm very new to mixing, so any input you might have would be greatly appreciated!
First of all, great song by Secretariat. Hats off to them.
The vocal made me think of Neil Young which in turn made me think of Sound City, so I decided to do a "Neve"-sounding mix. In my opinion the EQ's are somewhat reminiscent of a 1073. There's quite a bit of subtle saturation going on and also very slight compression.
In my recent mixes the vocals have been too exaggerated, so I wanted to bring down the vocal a little bit, but right now I think it feels like it needs a half to a whole dB boost on the lead vocal.
