Unseen mix
#1
Went for something a little different from most people...

No sample replacement, worked in the second pair of guitar tracks only intermittently, only used DI's, vocals were difficult to cram in there while retaining any amount of clarity but I managed...

Most of the mix sounds good, the drums are punchy and the vocals are quite nice, but the guitars are extremely muffled. There's very little high end or presence, like you took a high pass filter down to 1-2k, and it dosen't sound good, sorry to say. I would say get the guitars a lot brighter (or back off on the low pass filter) and you'd have a good mix. What's your chain for the drums, out of curiosity?

Hello,

Sounds like you've squashed the master a lot.
I think you should back off the limiter/compressor/saturation on it, in order to let it breathe a little.

The mix seems ok. I like the vocals even if the sibilance is a bit too pronounced.
Kick and bass work well together. Maybe the guitars are lacking agressiveness for my tastes.
