I like the highs you got into the bass...

a strong mix as always
Mixing is way more art and soul than science. ~ E.K.

Ha. I was going to say I like the lows of the bass! We like the bass. I need to know your bass secrets thedon. Though the bass maybe a little too out in front in the mix.

I think the guitars could come up a bit. There's one guitar that stands out but the others are a little lost.
Same with the vocals. They're too far in the back.

I just reread your post and said it's a work in progress so I suspect you'll get the guitars and vocals set in the next revision.

you are spot on about the guitars and vocals as usual ,will work on some more balance.
with the bass I used LA3A -7db and bass rider , there was a lot of 150-200 I had to scoop out as much as 9db ,I cheated on this mix and also ran through cla bass plugin which saved lots time but not as fun as using many plugins for a similar sound .

Cool. Thanks for sharing. I feel the same way about the cla waves plugins. They sound great but it feels too easy. I realized that anything in those 'packages' are all probably simplified waves plugins anyway so I try to find ways of emulating what it does with other plugs. Sometimes I get pretty close.

Hmm... Your mix sound also big. Maybe not fat, but clear and very pro sound. I recommend you bring out the CLA76, if you want the drums to smack through, instead of cracking. ^_^

No problem. I generally listen your mixes here a lot. Especially if I haven't mixed the particular song yet, your mixes are usually a great reference of what can be made out of them. Anyways, I consider you as a pro. Just to add, you could also take out the slight resonance at 2.8k in guitars. ^_^
