My mix on Directions
#11

Nice idea you have in this mix.

Vocals and guitar sounds good to me. But the moment when the other guitar opens, it feels odd. But after 2 seconds they sound good together. It just that one moment that bothers me. I'm nut sure but small narrowing of the stereo image might help. It could also even out those small rhythmic problems in that dual guitar performance.

During the solo the stereo acoustic guitars are maybe too dominant. Maybe the level of guitars could go down just a little bit the moment when drums and bass come in. Now the band is supporting guitars. It might work other way: so that guitars are only supportive from 0:50 onwards.

The stick could have maybe have a little bit of reverb. As it's behind the singer but in the same space, there could be a little bit more room and tail with it. For example a warm plate could do the trick.

Thanks Olli for stop by and hear my mix!
I personally like a lot the stereo image i end up with on that and it really don't bothers me
in fact i like it when the 2nd guitar kicks in!
The rhythm section on that song is not that good as a hole
bat i keep not to edit any song that i mix for the site!
As for the solo i think is pretty clear and sounds full on
that way, if i lower the guitars the mix going to drop a lot on power!
Lastly i agree with you for the stick all the way!Plus i would eq it more now Wink!
Thanks again Olli.
