This was the original mix that a friend of the band had done for them prior to The Great 'Blood To Bone' Mixoff Competition, and which was used as a multitrack preview for competition purposes. However, it had such attitude to it that even after hearing 100 other mix versions, the band still felt that the original vision deserved recognition as an official runner up, alongside this other competition entrant. Personally, I love the way this mix gives the sound a good old hit of buss compression, which really helps give it that 'hand-to-hand combat' feeling that the track seems to me to demand.
