I'm new to mixing so any comments/suggestions are much appreciated.

Too loud.

Time stretch is engaged and the song is much faster than what it was recorded at. If you're using S1 then make sure to disengage the time stretch audio button. Also, each session file comes with proper BPM in the "read me" word doc.

Start there and keep trying.

Hey thanks for your input, I truly appreciate it

I didn't realise my mix was much faster but after listening to other mixes there was a huge difference!
Thanks for pointing that out (I will keep an eye on that in future)
I think I found the reason why, I am using Reaper and adjusted the BPM AFTER the tracks were imported. Lesson Learnt!

I feel a bit silly asking (i'm a newbie remember) when you say the mix is 'Too Loud' do you mean the overall volume or Loud as in 'Busy'?

I am going to give this mix another try at the correct BPM, Any further advice?
