James May - If You Say (audiophile94 Mix)
#1
alright, this is my first thread on here.
here's my mix of James May's track "If You Say".

so, heres the lowdown:
besides some minor compression and reverb on the vocals, a touch of equalization on the drums and percussion, and very little automation. this track required little editing, wanted that raw sound (you would expect that from a track of this atmosphere as well as deep lyrics)

critiques and comments are very much welcome and appreciated.

I like the vibe in your mix, but thought the vocals were a little bit deep in rev.
The whole song sounds little too, need to master it!
I like that, thanks

To mix or not to mix ... mix!

i like the general idea of where you intended to take this mix. but it got lost in technical translation.good vibe though.revrb is making everything sound a bit too far back imo. however im no pro and might me wrong.

Basic balance sounds good to me.

Guitar is maybe too muddy. If you turn the bass side down of the guitar just a little bit, it may give nicely room for other instruments and freshen the whole sound.

I agree with Vitor Pavan, something wront with the spatial positioning of vocals.
