Actually the compressor in piano track is hardly moving. It's just 1-2 db here and there. The effect you're reacting to might be the neutrino plugin that I'm testing on piano.

I cut the low end delibaretly away from the piano. I was trying to capture the piano sound of my reference where there was carved some space to double bass around

If I open this session again I’ll turn down the space a bit.

interesting! i've been testing the neutrino too, but not on this mix. so far i particularly liked it on vocals. (if i understand well neutrino is kind of a eq/multibandcompressor combo). i understand you want to make room for the bass by cutting away the low-end in the piano (maybe automate the solo?) great mix still, cheers!
