Diesel13: 'Colour Me Red'
#21
well done, sounds great.

i think you can cut a little bit arround 150 hz, the snare has too much energy in that area, but thats my only observation.

cheers!

Sounds real nice Don. An enjoyable listen.

If your thinking of a version#3, maybe look at bringing out some extra clarity with the BGV's they are possible sounding a little burried and heavy at times. This is a pretty minor thing. I'm being pretty pickySmile

great mix! version 3 tamed things a bit with very nice vocals and overal tightness, but i wouldn't mind a bit more low end (body, 80-200) in the sides. and some manual de-essing of the mainvocal would just finish it off... ;-)

Check it on a decent set of headphones or large studio speakers and you will hear a load of out-of-control subs on the kick and bass guitar. The mid-transients (?) don't sound like a problem too me - it's just those subs, they overwhelm the track and make everything else sound weak. Otherwise it sounds like a pretty good mix - good vocal sound!

Hi Joe,
Thanks so much for the recording and having a listen.
Tamed the low sub resonant frequencies.
