W.I.N.D.: 'Funky To The Bone'
#1
Here is Version 1 of this cool song,
Didn't have to do much as tracks are well recorded.
Just some eq on the guitars to tame some upper mid frequencies mainly to suit my taste.
Inverted the Phase on the snare down and drum room tracks and tamed a little boxyness from kick mic 2.
Tamed some resonance on the bass guitar at 158hz.
Only used compression la2a la3a for some extra colour to taste.

Cheers Big Grin

Nice mix Don! A touch too much reverb overall for my taste but it does give your mix a live venue feel which is cool. Also the guitar solo at the end needs to be brought up with some automation, it get lost behind the main rhythm guitar a touch

Mixing is way more art and soul than science. We don’t really know what we’re doing. We do it because we love music! It’s the love of music first. Eddie Kramer

Super effort that!Big Grin

Great sound Don. Really like the space around the guitars. Also like the forward sounding snare. The pushed sound works well with this song.

great balance, maybe too much bass, sounds a little bit muggy to me and i think the second solo it's too low.
good work overall
