I compressed the hell out of the drums to add a huge ambient effect to the percussion section. Plus it makes a more dramatic entry when they come in.

I used C1 4kSSl and Neve

Satin tape on drum buss and master

minor automation on vox

telephone effect on two vox

eqed for separation

Never underestimate using KEYED gates/compressors to help make room for certain parts in a song. This technique helps glue everything together as well.
