Its My Right
#1
I set up my session with my plugins that I was to use on my TRKS and Buss'.

I set my stopwatch and then started mixing.

I mixed this in an hour to see how far I could get and here's the result.

I used Uhe Satin on all mix buss' DRMS, Bass, GTR, VOx, Masterbuss.

I made a hybrid console with Softube's Console 1 (DRMS SSL4K) the rest with the British Class A.

I used a slap dly on the Vox using Satin tape Dly.

QL Spaces gated reverb for the DRMS.

Softube TSAR1 for the Bass, GTR and Vox.

Uhe Presswerk Parallel COmp on Vox.

Softube Parallel Comp on DRMS.

Presswerk Limiter on Masterbuss.

Drawmmer 73 COmp on Masterbuss.

I work in live sound reinforcement, so I wanted to challenge myself and sharpen my skills.

In live sound you don't really have a lot of time to get your sound good, so you have to be fast.

Input is welcome.

*******UPDATE*******

I remixed this song over a year later to check my progress. Let me know what you think

But what dou you think about balance between Vocal and comping guitars?
It seems to me that the vox in the background. And solo tooHuh

Like the bass and drums ,the vocals sound a little soft and thin.
The attack of the rhythm guitar jumping out a touch ,solo guitar sounds great.
pretty good mix for a quick mix.

Hello! Groovie thing you did!

I keyed the RHYGTRs to help the vocals stand out more.

I did the same for the solo.

I also brought the RHYGTRs down by -3db

And now, after that changes, what do you think about room?

I like the room I created. This style of music sounds more sincere with just gated reverb and slight ambiance. I like trying to make natural sounding mixes most of the time.

With lots of reverb you lose the tightness of the grooves. Some people dig having more apparent ambiance in this particular mix but not me.

Have you mixed this song yet? Because I would like to see your interpretation.
