Wow..sounded so nice I listened twice. Clearly you didn't do anything wrong here but I think the bass and music parts could be showcased in a way to bring out the dissonance and tension and release of the vocals. I kept finding myself wanting more and more from the vocals but at some point you can only turn it up so loud and have to rely on the other elements to compliment the musicality of the vocals. Loved this mix and am listening again.

Shortly, sounds great.

Nice idea to use bg-vox more as a texture than bg-vox.

Love Version#2 Don. Tonally great. Nice clarity in the vocals. Vox is a dB or 2 hot for my ears but thats purely a taste thing. Love the vocal reverb you've come up with, sounds super.

It's nice what just a touch of parallel compression can do to give the drums a bit more force. Big Grin Mix 2 is very nice!
