"I'm Alright" - Mixed by jp65535
#1
Hi All. It's been about a year since my first attempt at mixing this (or any) song and making it available for public scrutiny. I actually did this mix about 6 months ago, but I'm back to ask for your input on this newer mix. Please take a listen and let me know what you think.

I would like to thank the Writers/Performers of this song for making the results of their hard work & talent available for my education and experimentation.
Your Kindness is very much appreciated.

John

Hello fellow mixer! Big Grin

My observations are:

* I hear a brightness which is probably coming from the hi-hat/ride which might be too bright or that the whole song is a bit bright (mastering EQ could maybe fix this).
* The percussion stands out too much on the first verse I think. Maybe bringing up the piano a bit could counter for that.
* The classical guitar could be lowered and the solo brought up a bit. For the solo since it already has a really amazing tone, I would just put it through a stereo delay to spread the hell out of it! Big Grin

Other than that great job and a pretty clear mix! Cheers!
