Hi everyone,
First post to start off my journey in this forum, Im attaching a short demo of my take on a 70's rock song. I focussed on volume balance and subtractive EQ and slight compression and keeping the mix clean and smooth while trying to retain that old school feel.
I haven't done any automation in this demo nor have I treated the vocals too much. (Slight compression and EQ). I would like to add some reverb on it but for right now, I feel this mix is a good, balanced mix.
Would love to hear your opinion on this and especially how the bass guitar is cutting through or isn't
