Wanted to keep the live sound and darkened the sounds of the wind instruments. I just know that if I heard a funk band with this mix at a concert I would be happy with it. Just not sure about the guitar sound.

Hi Frank ,I like your mix listening on headphones.
Can hear some mid bass frequencies clashing ,not sure it could some boxy frequencies on the kick around 120-150 hz area clashing with the bass ,keeping the low frequencies 0f the bass and kick in the centre would give your mix more punch and maybe a touch less compression .
The electric guitar in the intro sounds a touch harsh around 1.5-3 k area,just a matter of a little eq adjustments here and there !

Thanks for that great information! I think I just have to be more patient when mixing because I know the sound I want to replicate. I just get kind of frustrated and stop a bit early. Thanks again.
