Hi there. As usual with this song the drums are the weakest part of the mix. Your kick is really tiny, maybe you leaned too much on the sampler to get the "click" of it. The snare could have a bit more attack although is nice that u didnt use as many bottom snare as almost everyone Smile.

Check the vocals as either way u can clean the track or use a gate but you can listen to noises clearly at the beggining and later there's even a cough...though u cant really listen to it with all the noise i think...But i found it there...It happened to me too, i had it on my "to do" list and i always forgot but definetly it gives a more polished image on the mix.

With the guitars...doesnt convince me much that u havent barely panned them. The fxs that you use for guitars and bass are interesting but might get a little boring eventually as might be some phasing stuff goin on there...I dont know if that was your intention....

...And i think that's all hehe Smile

Cheers

Hi Ak3r,

To be honest:
-Kick I used only kick in, not the sample.
-Snare I used only the sample, no bottom snare at all.
-Guitars are 70/90 panned left right, included a factor of autopan
-Chorus and flanger on the bass is on purpose while I think it fits well in this song.
-Synth I have made a new midi chanel and exchanged it for a woman choir.

Thanks for your comments Big Grin

Cheers,
Luc

Nice one! I like your creative style here.
My biggest point would be the kick, it's really a bit thin. If you don't want to add the kick out channel, try goofing around with a multiband compressor.
And the vocals stick out somehow, they're not really IN the mix, you know what I mean?
But nice mix! Keep it up!

Hi Wurstdrummer (ist das nen drummer der mit wursten drumt? Big Grin )

In this mix I mixed the drums more distinguished, in fact I changed the whole mix WOOHAHAHAHAHA. (Whatever)

Give it a try, hope you like it.

Cheers,
Luc

Hey, ja das könnte man so sagen Big Grin
Something's wrong with the snare, it doesn't really have punch except for some audible signal accentuated only on one side and changing it.. what did you use for that signal chain?
But anyway, this mix is way better than your last one!

Hi Drummer,

Its clear you have very good trained ears Big Grin Big Grin

In V2, I did put a fair amount of chorus in the snare (sometimes this really works wonderfull) however this doesnt work in this song, I simply forgot to turn it off.

Here in V3 I have crispen up the snare a bit, added the bottom track and added some extra snare bottom.

No strange things happening on the sides this time hahahaha

Let me know your comments please.

Enjoy and cheers,
Luc

Hey luc,

i miss some width in your mix. It sounds, that the guitars are very focused on the center. Pan them more left/right. Then there is a lot of rumble in the low end. That makes the ix very muddy. Last Point, its seems there is a bit to much compression on the drums. But i really like your vocal sound. It sound nice clear!

Cheers, Eric (would be great to get any comments on my mix of that song)
