First and very first of all, why is there soooooo much static noise in the background ? Was that intended (maybe to make it sound more "analog").
I think that is not a good idea to mix static noise into a song. The Hi-Hat has some very hi frequencies in it, you should EQ them out, they are not very pleasant for the ears. I like the snare, although is too much in the front for my taste. Just like the accoustic guitar and the piano in the "interlude" part at about 2:55. As a listen you just ask yourself "where the heck are those comming from?". What eqipment do you mix on ? Headphones, normal speakers, monitors ? Your mix just doesn't have a good balance between everything, they sound so differinciated and not "mixed"... Just my opinion. I have mixed this song too, you can listen to it here: http://discussion.cambridge-mt.com/showt...p?tid=9053 Yes, I know, I messed up the lower-mid sections of the guitars in my mix. Regards, Marcel
