Jules King - Never Stop - my "dream mix"
#1
Hi guys,

Hope you like my mix.
I found this a tough one, lead vox seems to be taken on different days (at different booth, with different mike?)
Whatever, I enjoyed mixing this beautiful song.

Jules King = very ok Big Grin

Cheers,
Luc

PS I didn't find the loops fit the song so I left them out, sorry Jules King...Cool

Balanced mix. I like it.

Vox has some sort of harshness with it.

Good idea that octave jump in chorus. you made also other nice vox tricks in choruses. With melodyne?

Around 3:05 the solo guitar feels quite thin after vox

Hi Olli,

Thanks Big Grin I'll make a new mix anyway. Your comments are very right, I find the setting too screamy, too stereo, too high tones, your ears getting tired of listening to it.

I used izotone2 for the harmony this time, next mix I definitely will use my Melodyne polyfonic plugin, far better, and editable notes of the back vox you create...

Cheers,
Luc

hey Luc,

I liked what you did with those backing vocals. Awesome harmony. I suggest lowering down the backing vocals a little bit and a little panning to where you want to put it. Just to give way to the lead vocals. But everything else sounds sweet to my ears.
Please do a comment on mine too. I'll be willing to listen and learn. http://discussion.cambridge-mt.com/showt...?tid=12841
