I think this was not an easy piece. Always little difficult with that number of files. Anyway, I did my best with the skills I earned so far :-)

Pete:
I think you need to understand the source of the files for this song. The sponsor delivered various takes or parallel recordings of tracks using various pre-amps/microsphone combinations. Note the way the tracks are labeled. While you could use them all, I think it would be prudent to listen to the tracks recorded with the various pre-amps/microphones and decide which ones you like best and use those in your mix. Using all of them is probably not the best approach unless there is a particular sonic or creative reason to do so. There is also a scratch vocal which really has no bearing on the over-dubbed vox tracks and should probably not be used.

Great info Mixinthecloud, been wondering about that :-) Will have that in mind next time. I used them all in this mix as you probably hear :-) I don't think I will start over with the song, not at the moment anyway. Maybe I go back after some weeks when I rest my ears from this song, which I like very much by the way :-)
Thanks /Peter |
